The Consumer Affairs Division of the U.S. Department of Transportation provides information about commercial air transportation and air travelers' rights. Consumers' problems with airlines are recorded in a data base and the results are published in a consumer report available to the public. This office will not personally return a consumer's call but will register the complaint, and if appropriate, will contact airline personnel.
