The Food and Drug Branch licenses and registers manufacturers and distributors of foods, drugs, medical devices; inspects cosmetics and hazardous household products, investigates health frauds, monitors processed foods for pesticides, other chemical contaminants and microbiological problems. Handles complaints about California produced food, medical devices, drugs, and hazardous household products.
