To obtain a certificate, the applicant must pass the state-administered exam or submit documentary evidence of having passed an exam equivalent to that administered by the California 
Department of Health Services and offered by one of the following:


Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
