As of July 1, 2000, the Health Plan Program and the administration of the Knox-Knee Health Plan Act of 1975, as amended by the 1999 HMO reform legislation, has transferred to the new Department of Managed Health Care.

Assistance is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week for consumers who need assistance with their HMO. Call center staff can assist consumers with a variety of issues including (but not limited to) quality of care, prescriptions, preventative testing, and information regarding the DMHC's complaint process. A complaint form is available on the DMHC's web site.
