The California Arts Council is a statutory nonprofit agency established by the Office of the Governor. Through a grants program, conferences, and publications, the council supports visual arts, music, theater, literature, dance, media, arts education, and multidisciplinary arts. The council also serves as a referral for artists throughout California who are seeking information about other arts agencies or councils.
