The California Department of Health Care Services is a state agency that assists the public by coordinating services with county health departments to prevent alcohol and drug abuse. Information on alcohol and drug abuse recovery programs or regulations of residential and non-residential alcohol drug programs and verification of licensure is available. The Resource Center provides non-emergency information and does not operate a crisis line. They provide alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention and treatment information, publications, and library services.
