WRESTLING

go back

Professional wrestling is no longer regulated by the California State Athletic Commission. It is considered entertainment, not a sport. Wrestling in high schools and universities is not regulated; however, it is considered a sport because the techniques involved require a different type of body strength and expertise.

Other referrals: Industrial Relations (Department of) see Athletic Agents who may represent or promote individuals in sports.
