Surgical Technologists

Surgical technologists provide patient care and assume appropriate responsibilities before, during and after surgery. Surgical technologists prepare the operating room, assist surgeons during operations are responsible for maintaining a sterile environment.</ p>
<p>Under the direction of a physician, surgical technologist are educated to properly position a patient on the operating table, assist in connecting and applying surgical equipment, monitoring devices, and preparing the incision site by cleaning the skin.</ p>
<p>No license is required for surgical technologists. Hospitals are responsible for their training and set their own requirements.
