The California Ski and Snowboard Safety Organization (CSSSO) is a non-profit California corporation based in San Francisco. CSSO seeks to enter into cooperative and collaborative relationships with California ski resorts to improve and publish guidelines in an ongoing effort to ensure the safety, protection and well being of winter mountain sport enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
The CSSO will seek and post, on its Web site, the safety policies and procedures of resorts. In an advisory capacity, independent ski safety experts will review and assess resort safety policies and procedures using national best practices as their standard.
