The California Public Records Act (PRA) requires that public records be available to the public upon request. The Department of Consumer Affairs has established guidelines to ensure that members of the public fully understand and are afforded the opportunity to exercise their right to inspect and obtain copies of public records.
Requests should be made to the custodian of the records where the record was generated.
