The Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California is responsible for licensure and regulation of physicians and surgeons.
The Board's Central Complaint Unit handles complaints about this profession. It initiates investigations of complaints and, if necessary, submits cases to the Attorney General's Office for legal action.
