The Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Pharmacy is responsible for licensing pharmacists, issuing permits to pharmacies, and licensing individuals and firms that perform a variety of drug distribution activities.

Complaint Jurisdiction:
Prescription errors, prescription label errors, incomplete labels, unprofessional conduct, negligence, incompetence, fraud in securing licenses, dishonesty, signing false certificates, filling prescriptions for controlled substances for nonvalid medical reasons, record-keeping discrepancies, and self-administration of controlled substances.
Complaints Outside Jurisdiction:
Pricing. refusal of service, and complaints against a physician.
