The New Motor Vehicle Board regulates new motor vehicle dealers, manufacturers, distributors, branches and representatives involved in the distribution and marketing of new cars, new trucks, and motorcycles. Created by statute, the Board is a subdivision of the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
Complaint jurisdiction:
Sales transactions, vehicle advertising.
Complaints outside jurisdiction:
Used car dealers, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, commercial coaches, and off-highway vehicles (except off-highway motorcycles), new car Lemon Law warranty problems.
