Mold (Residential)
From Consumer Wiki
|
Molds are fungi that are found virtually everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Mold grows where there is moisture. Exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a variety of health effects including allergic reactions, asthma, and other respiratory complaints. Several federal and state agencies provide information citizens can use to protect themselves from residential mold. For local assistance citizens may contact their County or City Department of Health, Housing, or Environmental Health.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offers information, guidance, and publications in both English and Spanish that consumers can use to protect themselves from residential mold.
