Massage Therapist/Masseuse

The New California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) was established to evaluate qualifications of massage therapists and issue certifications in the State of California. There are two levels of certification: CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) and CMP (Certified Massage Practitioner). The levels of certification relates to the amount of education the massage therapist has completed. The CMT category requires 500 hours of massage education and the CMP category requires 250 hours.
