The California Horse Racing Board regulates authorized California horse races that involve pari-mutuel wagering and issues occupational licenses for individuals associated with the horse racing industry.
Complaint Jurisdiction:
The Board accepts complaints about the operation of any authorized race; the treatment of the public at a licensed race meeting; the validity of pari-mutuel betting calculations and tickets; the conduct of licensed horse owners, trainers, jockeys, and drivers; and the registry and eligibility of race horses.
