When a business employs a person whose job it is to "raid" the ranks of other corporations or businesses to entice a desired employee to leave the firm where he or she is currently employed and join the headhunter's firm or other firms, the term "headhunter" may be applied to the individual who "hunts heads" to fill specific positions.
