From Consumer Wiki
|
Fire investigators examine sites of fires that may be the result of an actual accident with incendiary products or may be one of suspicious origins, such as arson. Fire investigators who operate a fire investigative business independent of an insurance company or fire department do not require a license other than a private investigator's license with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
