Enrolled agents are licensed by the Internal Revenue Service (federal government) and may work in any state in the United States.
Enrolled agents must complete two years of schooling which includes training at a much more difficult level, such as being trained on 180 hours of tax codes.
Enrolled agents are qualified to prepare state and federal taxes.
