go back

Laws at both the federal and state level protect the rights of individuals who may experience discrimination in some form. The following entities may provide information or assistance in resolving an issue of unfair treatment.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization which investigates discrimination; harassment; violation of rights of the elderly, minors, and minorities; gender-based or racial issues; and sexual orientation issues to protect individual liberties.
