go back

Developers do not have to be licensed by the California Contractors State License Board as long as they sublet the work to licensed contractors (builder, electrician, plumbing, etc.) or other licensed professionals (architect, engineer, etc.). City and county planning departments require developers to obtain permits to develop land.
