The "Privacy Rights Clearinghouse", affiliated with the Utility Consumers' Action Network (UCAN) addresses computer privacy rights issues in "Privacy in Cyberspace". This fact sheet describes the major privacy roadblocks to on-line activity and provides useful tips for protecting personal information on-line. It also identifies privacy technologies, such as encryption and anonymous retailers which allow consumers to safeguard their personal data. The guide also provides a list of privacy resources where consumers can go for more help.
