In operation since 1939, the Community Services Planning Council, Inc. serves Sacramento as an information resource and community planning organization which works to create solutions to community needs such as hunger, homelessness, health care access, violence and substance abuse.


The Community Services Planning Council, Inc. identifies community needs and develops solutions to those needs; researches and evaluates health and human services issues and programs; provides planning in the field of health and human services. Provides information on seniors' programs, health care, children's services, housing information, financial assistance, education, and training. Offers publications such as directory of nonprofit and government services, trends and emerging issues, and a human services information system (database of information on population, economy, education, social services, etc.). Also handles Senior Citizens issues funded by the Department of Aging.
