The Board of Chiropractic Examiners, is an independent board created by the State Legislature to regulate chiropractors. The board examines, licenses, and disciplines chiropractors, administering the regulations necessary to protect the health, welfare, and safety of the public. The board accepts written complaints about fraud, misrepresentation, or unprofessional conduct, false or misleading advertising, substance abuse, or incompetence and negligence.

Complaints outside jurisdiction include: Fee disputes, complaints against associations/peer review committees, complaints unrelated to a chiropractor's functions, and insurance coverage.
