Burglar Alarms (Alarm Systems)
From Consumer Wiki
|
The California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS), regulates alarm system companies. The term, which most accurately describes burglar alarms, is "alarm systems." Alarm company operators (ACOs) are defined as companies which engage in business to install, maintain, alter, monitor, sell on the premises, sell service alarm systems, or respond to alarm systems.
Licensing is not required for anyone retained by a licensed ACO to monitor for the ACO, provided they do not perform any other duties within the definition of an ACO.
