The Bingo Compliance Unit (BCU) of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department establishes regulations and enforces laws governing the conduct of bingo games, as well as parlor operators and suppliers within the unincorporated area of Sacramento County.
BCU issues, denies, suspends or revokes licenses and performs annual bingo compliance examinations. In addition, BCU prepares statistical reports, recommendations and assistance for corrective actions, conducts investigations relating to thefts, shortages, embezzlement or other dishonest acts and also performs background checks of volunteers.
