The primary responsibility of the AB is to protect consumers from incompetent and fraudulent acupuncturists through the enforcement of the Acupuncture Licensure Act (Business and Professions Code Section 4925 through 4979) and the AB's regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 16, beginning with Section 1399.400).
