The California Department of Consumer Affairs, California Board of Accountancy (CBA), licenses and regulates certified public accountants (CPAs), public accountants (PAs), accountancy corporations, CPA and PA partnerships. Accountants audit, compile, investigate, and certify financial transactions and accounting records.
Complaints can be filed online at www.dca.ca.gov/cba, or call CBA in Sacramento at (916) 561-1729.
