Environmental Safety Industrial Hygienists
From Consumer Wiki
|
Environmental Safety Industrial Hygienists are responsible for enforcing safety and health at the worksite. Environmental Safety Industrial Hygienists are not licensed by any state or federal agency. They are required to have a master's degree in industrial hygiene and "on the job" experience. Some hygienists (Senior and/or Manager level) are certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygienists. Certification is also required for hygienists that perform asbestos work. The California Department of Industrial Relations, California Occupational Safety and Health Program (Cal/OSHA) can provide information about the requirements to become an environmental safety industrial hygienist.
